Welcome to the Kettlewell with Starbotton Parish Council website.
Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of the month in Kettlewell Village Hall at 7:30pm.
There are a total of 73 Parishes in the Craven District of North Yorkshire. Of these, 37 are Parish Councils. Parish Councils form the first level of the local government hierarchy and are the initial point of contact for local residents.
This Parish covers the villages of Kettlewell and Starbotton and is located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in the Upper Wharfedale area. The Parish Council comprises 5 elected councillors who are primarily responsible for the maintenance of street furniture and public spaces throughout the Parish. The Councillors also provide links to the District and County Councils, offering local opinion on matters such as highways, transportation and environmental issues; and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority with regard to planning applications and various other Local Authorities.
The work of the parish council is supported by the following bodies
